Spokane Housing Authority Awarded $126,000 For Orchard Vista Early Learning Childcare Center

The Spokane Housing Authority (SHA) has been awarded $126,000 from the Washington State Department of Commerce Early Learning Facilities Program to support predesign of the Orchard Vista Early Learning Childcare Center in the Dishman Hills neighborhood of Spokane Valley. The facility will be co-located with SHA’s Orchard Vista Apartments—240 affordable units currently under construction—and will help meet the region’s need for high-quality, affordable childcare.
Spectrum Awards $25,000 to Cuyahoga Metropolian Housing Authority for Workforce Development Programs

Spectrum announced the Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority (CMHA) received an additional $25,000 toward its workforce development program through Spectrum Community Center Assist (SCCA), the company’s philanthropic initiative to revitalize local community centers and invest in job training programs in underserved rural and urban neighborhoods where Spectrum operates.
Over the past four years, Spectrum has provided a total of $157,000 to support the organization’s efforts.
